Default Converter question?

With the mods listed, do you think that the 5k stall is too big? Would I be better off going to a 4k or 4400?

Thanks. I think the converter is going to be the problem with this tranny. The way I understand it is that the tranny has new internals and from what I have heard, this converter is just too much for the HP level and setup of this car.

It is fairly rare that on an LS1 to see a 5000 stall outperform a 4400. A true 5000 will stall at or above peak torque which is not optimal. You also need to make sure it is an efficent design or it will really eat the HP. Your TRex is probably needs a 7000 rpm shift point, so that helps but a 5000 stall can go higher typically with improved results.
