Default HELP! Car doesnt idle right/dies after converter install!

Okay so my Super Yank 3500 stall, cooler, and shift kit just got installed. In park my car idles fine. When it is in drive the RPMS constantly vary and if it sits more than a minute or two... it dies. Giving it a little gas doesnt help either... the rpms just drop and sometimes the car brings them back up, other times it just dies.

What could be causing this?

As of now the only way to keep it running when i am at a light is to put one foot on the brake and the other on the gas keeping the RPMs at about 900-1000rpm.

The car is a 1997 Z28 (yes I know it is an LT1, but no one on CZ28.com has responded).

Thanks so much!

was doing the same,
try idle re-learn
otherwise just change your idle to some higher numbers("P", "D"), it will fix the problem, i had the same

3 possible solutions:

1) reflash the PCM.

2) adjust the idle. On an LS1 you can turn a screw that adjusts where the TB blade rests when the blade is closed. If there is a similar adjustment on the LT1 TB, turn that screw 1 turn to open it and allow a little more air in at idle.
Alternatively, if the TB has an air hole in the blade, increase it 1/32" in diameter.

3) raise the idle speed with LT1Edit.
