Selecting a tranny and converter I need some help figuring out what I need for an OD transmission to put in my 67 Camaro Convertable. I just replaced the 2.73 rear gears with 3.73s, and the current trans is a dying TH350 with a stock converter which is a bit stiff for my cam. The specs are:
327 V8, Vortec Heads, Edelbrock Performer Intake, Edelbrock 600 CFM carb, Comp Cams HE268, MSD 6A, Stock Exhaust Manifolds, Chambered Exhaust, 350 Turbo Tranny.
Also at some point I would also like to install EFI. I have the TBI setup off of a 454 that may go in in the spring.
Here's a rw dyno plot from a few years back with the 2.73 rear and the tranny in 2nd gear
