Transbrakes for 4L60E are not cheap either. I think rossler makes one and its about $600. Here is one for a 4L80E:

A transbrake is very beneficial in cutting a good light. Not to mention a properly setup car that has a transbrake will hook better than a car with just a stall.

But the guy, judging from his mods, is not to that point in his car that he would benefit from a transbrake. At this point, it would be a waste of $600 which he could use for something else. If you read his statement he says: "Consider the car wont be at the track no more than 4 times in a year."
Simply throwing a transbrake on a car with street tires and minimal suspension mods is not going to help his et. And I believe his money will be better spent on something else at this point.
That was my point. You missed it entirely.
