Busted Tranny Mount?
Busted Tranny Mount? Out driving today, and punched it from a tick under 30. Downshifted and heard a nasty BANG. Drove around some more and it does it on hard upshift and take-offs with quite a bit of throttle. Not like a small clunk, but a quite loud BANG.
So I got home, jacked er up, and crawled under. The tranny mount is torn clean through, and I can basically push the trans up by the tailshaft enough to see that the trans mount is utterly destroyed.
Just ordered it and the T/A bushing as well, but I want to ease my mind a bit.
These loud bangs are symptoms of that snapped tranny mount, correct? I just want to know that's my problem and it's nothing more serious.
