TH400 question Hi to all;
I have a brand new Tci TH-400(With a trans brake)i buyed a few months ago for my 69 Camaro BB.I ll install a built glide on the 69 and i have lots of problems with my 4L60E.(98Camaro) this must be my 8 or 9th trany in the past 2.5 years.I ve reuild it(with good brand parts),buyed a brand new stock unit,finally a built trany whic lasts longer than the others....but it finally gaves up!(3 months old only 2 or 3 drag races...)we are runnig high speeds over here in Istanbul and those 4L60Es wont hold on the top speeds.Thats a major problem for me.
I know have 2 choices:
1-T56 and every good aftermarket parts(Clutch,shifter...)to do a good conversion.
2-TH-400 with a Gear Vendors over drive.
I really love 6 speeds.But 6 speed auto also sounds good to me(TH400+GV o.d)I know that Tci solves my problems but i have to know:
1-Where can i find and buy parts for 4L60E to TH400 conversion parts?Such as pcm trickers and other parts?
2-Anybody using a Gear Vendors O.D unit on our cars?I ve reading posts about this unit but i never heard anybody using .
