I could not agree with you more. The problem with the net is that there are alot of "cheerleaders" when things are going good and when things take a turn for the worse they are gone or crying about how they got screwed. Not tring to bash anyone here but it is the truth and costs alot of you guy's your hard earned money. I would suggest going with a well known builder and not a newbie or go with someone that does not have any bad feedback. Alot of times you really only hear about the bad and that is enough for me to reconsider. If you are considering a paticluar company start a thread and ask questions. Even have members send you PM's so that the truth can be told without intervention from the moderators protecting the sponsor for what ever reason. Or things being deleated that are facts but not put in a very professional manner. I have been viewing these boards for about 3 years now and have seen plenty of ugly threads. All I can say is buyer beware. If you want to give someone a shot good luck to you, but remember what others have been through and what time has proven. As wise man once said "Time will tell!" That is a very strong statement in all situations in life. Think about it and make you choices wisely. Vince

"There are many companies that can and do build high horsepower / high performance 4L60E transmissions. There are only so many mods and only so many upgrades that can be done. The biggest consideration to be made in IMHO is, is that transmission being assembled / built on an assembly line or is it hand built by one or two people who actually know what they are doing and can understand and overcome the issues that present themselves after the sale during the warranty period and beyond. Are these people building a unit that will do what they say it will, for as long as they say it will, and do they stand behind it. Thats what you are looking for."

Our Transmissions are not built on and assembly line and are built by individuals who are transmission vetrans at building ,And each unit is built to and exact set of specifications we have laid out , Now on the plus side and the advantage we do have over the for instance father/son operation is we are a coporate entity in that we are a small part of a much larger organization , This means if someone gets sick or the particular shop we are utlizing at that time has some monster problem fire, blizard, hurricane whatever we will still be there for our customers and fully capable of filling orders handling warranties and any issues that come up , Thats the advantage of being part of a larger company. What we have and are trying to do is be the little guy that you can actually call and talk to and many of you have at all hours of the day and night , And at the same time with our corporate backing we hope that will provide the peace of mind that we wont just fall of the map when you need us due to some sudden financial or personal issue like a small operation can so easily do as many have seen happen,

On another matter I have been now in this forum for several months and I haven't really noticed the mods pulling undesirable statements made towards vendors simply because they are paying sponsors, I have seen them moved to there proper area when placed wrong and of course I would totally agree with the removal or editing of post that use excessive foul language or unsubstantiated statements without any proof . And any statements intended to cause damage by one sponsor to another unless that sponsor has actually had a transaction with the other sponsor, We as a company decided early on we would not bash a competitor in anyway since its bad business ethics to do so and cast a poor light on those that do it , We strive to maintain a Professional attitude at all times.

i totaly agree with both vince and performabuilt. when i purchased my rock on
tranny they had nothing but good reviews. my situation was when i got it back the 2nd time it ran fine for about a 1,000 miles and then crapped out again. so i called dave and told him he needs to take it back and fix it rite so he proceded to curse me out and never herd from him again. so since i work for a gm dealer i took it apart my self and was amased what i found. now take in mind this was a level tranny for 2395. upon disasembly if found nothing more than a stock tranny with alto reds and transgo vacumme modulation kit and a wide 2/4 band. it had a regular corvette servo, stock sun shell wich blew me away because i was expecting a beast sun shell. so. with my new car im tempted to build it my self or wait and see how these other ones do. i need a tranny that will handel a magic stick 4 cam only 3600stall 3.90 gears. so let me know what i need i dont wont to over buy but i want it to handel and not break

what you just wrote seriously turned my stomach. if i bought a $2400 tranny and i pulled it apart and found it mostly stock, i'd be beyond pissed. you're better off buying a brand new 4L65E than that thing you got as a stock 4L65E will probably stand up to more abuse. that kind of practice makes me sick, and i feel for you all, i really do i feel to the point where if i had bill gates cash flow, i'd reimburse you myself.
