Default shift point solenoid malfunction please help!!!!

i am wondering where to get one and where they are at on the tranny and how ez it is to fix. being stuck in 2and3rd is kicking my ***. so please help so i can get my car back on the road.

There is nothing called a shift point solenoid , So question what is the number of the code you got to make that determination .

you need to replace the 3-2 shift solenoid and most likley you will be all fixed

well if your wanting to fix it this weekend you better find a GM dealer open in the morning
cause they will probably the only ones to have it , And its actually easy but you will have to remove the pan

I just changed both. very messy in the driveway but, easy.
replace both soleniod's while your in there..

Sounds like you changed the shift solenoids , He needs to change the 3-2 downshift solenoid

What would the 3-2 downshift soleniod have to do with the loss of 1st and 4th gears? I don't understand that and ask because my car has only used 2nd & 3rd gears at times and would also not lock-up in 3rd.

the diagnosis was based on the fault code he gave , which was for a 3-2 solenoid .
