It will work ok, but it's gonna feel a little loose. VIG underrates their stall speed a little, so a VIG3600 is gonna feel like a 4000 stall. Upgrading your converter does'nt mean your gonna blow up your rear end, it depends how you use the car (drag racing, DD, Dukes of Hazard, etc.) If the rest of the car is stock I'd go with 3.42's. Maybe consider a VIG3200.

If you already have 3.23's, swapping 3.42's won't justify the cost at all. 3.73's might, but I've been told to save my money for something else. I agree about the Vig 3200 for a stock car. If you plan on modding it further in the future, then go for the 3600 now. I currently run a Yank 3500, but have a Yank SS4000 on the way. 3500 was great, but it's true......you always want more!

VIG is the ****!!! you will love a 3400.. put a BIG cooler in and make sure you install some servos, should be fine and the car will drop .5 or more.. fine for daily driver..

from what i've seen overheating is the problem with any aftermarket high stall causing issues. just be sure to keep it as cool as possible (Deep pan, big cooler, low t-stat, etc) keep that trans under 150 and you are golden..
