Default b&m shift delay

so i bought my 1998 trans am with a blown ls1 for 3250 i found it has a B&M shift delay switch in it. anybody familiar with these?

B&M has never made a Shift Delay, do you mean a Shift Plus?

im not sure its a rectangular box witha 2 way switch. if i knew how to post pics on this forum id put up pics of what it is

yea thats it. is it safe or will it effect anything with the car? or if i put a stall in will it mess anything up?

The Shift Plus needs to be hard wired to your harness to function. What it does is, upon activating the switch, simply modifies the power signal going to the transmission to increase line pressure. This is better accomplished my tuning or better yet a shift kit.
