Default help me choose a Tq converter..dyno graph inside

ok i drive a 2000 v6 camaro <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> with intake and exhaust and recently dynoed at MTI..well i want a converter now more than ever BTW i have 3.42's
i think about a 3400 PI with a 2.5 str would be nice

My sucky dyno

id also like to know what you guys think about Midwest converters

they are not as expensive as PI and yank but ive heard they are good quality and have been in business for 20 or so years

they will make me any stall and and STR i want..i just havent heard to them

My advise to you is to get the equivalent of a Vig 3200 with the #6 pump for your V-6. The Vig 3200 stalls 3800 behind an LS1 and should stall around 2800 behind your V-6. If you want a little more stall, then get the #7 pump Vig. It will stall around 3300 behind the V-6.

Dump the 6 get a LS1 powered m-6 f-body & save your converter cash for engine mods! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I would take Patrick G's advise, since he is probably THE T.C. King. Yeah, I agree it would be easier with an LS1, but a Procharged V6 might surprize alot of people!!!!!!!!! Obey your Thirst!!!!!!!!!!! <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" />

Just put a 3000 stall 2.5 STR Midwest in my 02 TA Last week. I love it. They've got the best prices, their products work, and great service.

One more thing. I used to have a 99 Grand Prix. I imagine your car had the same converter my GP had. Have you found any info on the stock stall stock STR to compare? I couldn't find any.

If you can't find any I would suggest getting a 3200,3400 3.0. With the 6 I would get high stall, high STR. Also I wouldn't worry about looseness. My 3000 is very tight.
