trans problems
I have a 2000 camaro ss with an auto in it. If i put it into drive, hit always hits the rev limiter from 2nd to 3rd even though i turned down the shift points. But if i start out in overdrive it never hits the rev limiter. No idea why and no one else does either. Any help would be great

Well this has been debated over and over but here it is simple the difference is the overun clutch comes on during the 2-3 shift in the drive position so it takes more time to make the shift so you hit the rev limiter before the shift happens , X amount of fluild another chamber to fill and lots of delay, In the od position the overun clutch does not come on during the 2-3 shift though if its severe if may indicate excessive 3-4 clutch clearance and a coming failure. Hope this helps
