Default 4L60E behind 6.0 LQ9??

To make a long story short, having problems with car and thinking of going with a factory LQ9/LQ4 shortblock. Just wondering if my tranny and semi-new YANK 4400 will bolt up to the 6.0. Will I need to use my flexplate or the one with the 6.0 ltr? Thanks for any help.

Just did this recently, went with an LQ4. You will need to swap over your LS1 flexplate to the LQ4/9. Everything else will work fine. You will need to drill out a hole on the block for the Alt. bracket, plus you will be loosing one as well. If you do not drill out the boss, you will be missing two bolts, some have said they have had no issues like that. Be sure to swap over the windage tray and oil pan, plus use a new pick-up tube o-ring ($4 from dealer) as cheap isurance (speaking from experience here). Other than that, you won't need anything else. Any other questions, let me know and I can help out.

Thanks very much. Looking at one out of a 05 Escalade (LQ9) with 8K miles that was hooked to a 4l60e auto for $1500. Thanks for your help.
