Default Converter Clutch Signal Valve

Is this one right and is this the right spring????

Or is this one right?????

It seems that no matter how it is installed with this spring that it isn't pushing against the spring like all the other valves...

Yes I believe that the second picture is right. Springs always ride on the valve with the nipple side of the valve. Are you going to update this valve body with a trans-go kit? If so you really do not have to worry about this valve because it will be change with the SK. Vince

Since your on this subject.I did a Sonax upgrade for the TCC valve where you have to bore out the hole and you put in a capsule,The spring then an aluminium capsule w/another small piston type thing that goes in it ,My question is does the capsule that goes in first is that suppose to sit against the wall of the valvebody or slide around loose. Is the spring suppose to hold it tightly in or if you tilt the valvebody back and forth does the small capsule slide back & forth.

Not updating this time around, unless someone can talk me into it. I pretty sure that it will be fine. Tell me the real advantages of the update.

The main advantage is the prevention of the 1870 code , However there are several ways to go about this ,In fact many rebuild kits in the seal part have a stiff chome spring to replace that one which basically accomplished the same thing as long as the bore is not worn out. The sonnax kit is very useful when it is however
