Default Trans problems.. please help..

here is the problem...

It drives fine, as long as your not beating on it... when you floors it, it will downshift or if i start of a stop it takes off fine.. but the problem is when its time to shift... sometimes from first to second but mainly its from second to third it just bangs the rev limiter.. and wont shift.. i have to lift and "peddle shift"

Any answers???

Also, the gas milage went to complete ****!! we switched from a 2.73 gear to a 3.73 and I know its a decent change.. but 5-8 mpg when on the highway doesnt sound right, and thats only doin 75 or 80 mile per hour...

anything? anything?

Did you recently put a converter in your car?

Providing the gear ratio change has been take in and the PCM updated for it and programing is set properly many times this is caused when the clutch /band clearance (wear)is to high and the transmission is close to needing to be rebuilt or better replaced with a built unit for the shift issues anyway , As for fuel sounds like you arent getting converter lockup , I would have the tuning double checked first and if you find nothing there then its time for a trans and converter
