flex plates

Is there any benifit to upgrading your flex plate? Is the lighter rotational mass do anything? Is it worth the cost of an after market flex plate?

As something to do just to "mod", I would have to say no. You really only need an aftermarket (beefier, not weaker) flexplate when you get to the point where you break your stock one, which doesn't happen often.

Either that, or you need the SFI certification.

At what ET does the track require you to have the SFI stuff??

For the flexplate, 9.99 and quicker requires an SFI 29.1 flexplate.
