So i was jsut wondering if while your roll racing with and auto if you can downshift manually into like 3rd or would that totally **** my tranny??? just asking because i accidently put my car in 3rd and when i was ont the highway the throttle ressponse was so much better and thought why not do this during a start in a roll race??? sorry for the newb question!

 

Just hope your not going to fast when you throw it into 3rd though..

Me, I let the tranny do the up/down shifts...

 

Pulling it back should not cause any problem
