Question Another is this converter to big thread :)

I saw a used Yank 4400 that kinda peeked my intrested. My mod list is:
3.73's
TSP 333/338/114 cam
TSP stage 2.5 5.3 heads
LS6 intake
Long tube headers
pully
lid

With these mods would the 4400 be to much for me or would it be fine?

With a cam like that I'd say the stall is too low...

...if you can even crank it without chunks of your pistons filling your driveway.

IMO it will be a beast of a converter on the street, and I wouldn't recommend it there. But if this is a track car, and the converter is in great condition still, I would go for it. It should get you maximum ET at the track.

its a little high.... i run a ms3 237/242 and for all motor tsp reccomends a 4200 and 3800 for n20

also you need to think of the type of tire you want to race on ....
that converter might have a high *** str like 2.7 which is way too much for anything less than a full slick... if you want to run on drag radials id stay with a 2.2 str.. yea you can go higher but your not gonna be able to hook up and your just wasteing top end efficency

through trial and error ive found that 2.2 str is enough for a street tire..
at the same time a 3500-4000 stall would be a great choice to keep you in your power band

also..IM SELLING A TCI SSF 3500 (2.5 STR 3500 STALL FOR $275) PM ME IF YOUR INTRESTED AS IM MOVING UP T A 3800 STALL
