how much do shops usually charge to install an aftermarket shifter for a manual trans. ?

dont waste your time. they will charge your $100.00 to install it. its not worth it it takes at the most an hour to do yourself.

I would definately say that you can do this one yourself with about an hour of free time. Just follow the directions and you should have it done no problem. Remember to use some silicon sealent in between the shifter and the transmission.

The hardest part on mine was getting the console over the parking brake handle. Is the P-brake handle supposed to come off?
