Default Hughes torque converter

Has anyone ran a hughes torque converter in their ls1? I have heard a lot of good things about them and i know from the past that they r bad *** converters in the old cars just wasn't sure about the new ls1.How r the hughes 2500 or the hughes 3000 racing converter in the ls1. Thanks a lot for ur replies

A buddy , Jayme, from the Houston F-body list, used on in his LT1.
It was...ok... the car never performed as well as he would have liked it too, until he stepped up to a Vig 3600.

Then, performance from his car picked up significantly.

But the verter wasnt all bad especially considering the cost. He has no complaints that I know of other than the car wasnt as fast/quick as comparably modded Yank/Vig equipped cars.

Sorry, I wish I had more info on the LS1 side of it... but there are not that many of them out there. (Hughes-LS1's)

Try one out and get back with on your findings...
