A4 to M6 swap conversion kit! Where to buy?

A4 to M6 swap conversion kit! Where to buy? Im in the market for the famous A4 to M6 swap for my 98 Formula and i seen on here that i can buy the complete swap kit for around $1500. So i was just wondering where?

Where to buy? keep the a4. the a4 will out perform the m6 with the right stall.i have a 01 m6 and with bolt ons i went 12.5's, the a4's with bolt ons were going 12.0's. now i run 11.8's and just missed a gear and spun a barring the motor is junk. keep the a4 it can be faster and it's alot easier on the parts. ow yeah, dont forget m6's also break rearends too, i've done it.total cost to replace all the parts my m6 has broke is $8,500 the m6 is fun right.i know this is not what you wanted to hear, just know what you may be in for. good luck.

M6 is nice if you want to row through the gears all the time, but its inconsistent for the track, etc...

I just want sumthin different even if it means that it will be a tad slower than my A4.And also i dont go to the track so i wont be missing out on that part.I dont wanna trade my car in because i have put too much money into it already,from the custom paint job,Rims,Sound system, mods,ETC and last but not least i have around 6 months left until its paid off and im 22 and this would be my first car i paid for by myself, so im also attached to it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> . I could by a new car with my GM discount but they stop making them in 02. i will probably get a vette with in the next couple of years but for now i want a 6 speed <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: A4 to M6 swap conversion kit! Where to buy? Get a TH 400. You can still shift the gears but dont have to worry about missing a shift and junking the car. Also it will be faster than the auto and you get to shift gears. And wont have to worry about rebuilds.

Unfortunately I don't know where to get a conversion kit, I am just chiming in to say if you want to swap to a 6-speed, do it. Don't be deterred by what others say.

Re: A4 to M6 swap conversion kit! Where to buy? I'm converting from an M6 to a TH400. I will be selling everthing from the flywheel to the rear including DS and torque arm with the execption of the PCM. The tranny will need syncro's.

Only thing is I would have to find a computer, pedals, anda center console out of a A4. Anyone know if they sell the computers online or would I have to go to a junk yard?
