Trans cooler question.

Trans cooler question. Well I decided to go with this cooler for my 02 TA, its stock for now, but will eventually be a bolton car.
Heres the cooler:

My question is how are you guys that are running coolers with fans activating the fans. I was thinking of going with either one of these controllers.

This one has a probe that simply goes between the fins.

This one has a threaded sensor that I could TEE into the trans outlet line or into the trans itself.
This is my first Auto car so Im new to this stuff, so any input is appreciated.
