Lockup issue
Lockup issue Been having a small issue with my converter not locking up on the highway mostly.
98 4l60e w/cooler 2.73 gears converter is a daaco 3200stall 2.0str thats about 3 years old.
When im crusing at highway speed the converter is not locking up and killing my mpg. When i start to brake like when going down a grade i can feel it lock , then as soon as im off the brake it un-locks again? Even tapping the brake will cause it to lock up. Checked my fluid level and its fine.
Anyone have any idea what may be causing this? Is it just a pcm issue that may be resolved by tuning? It had been working fine last fall before i stored it this winter, when i took it out of storage a few weeks ago, i noticed this issue. Put about 500 miles on it so far and still having this problem. I fear that the converter might be dying
