Which would give the best gains with a head/cam package? current 3600 yank. would i gain trap speed and better ETs with a smaller stall?

A bigger converter will give you better ET's. With H/C, the torque peak raises to ~4800 rpm. If you want a drag car, the PT4400 will fit the bill.

A Yank 3600 is a good choice.
