MW converters,alot of good talk....
I posted this on LS1.com recently:
1) The YTP 4400 is king. Until another converter runs the time or beats it, most of the serious drag racers are going to keep saying the Yank is best.
2) A lot of experience rests with Yank and PI converters. They have been both raced and dyno tested by many members. They have proven track results, and known shift extensions & top end efficencies for road racers.
3) Most of the MW reports have been SOTP reports from owners with just a couple weeks of use. It appears that a lot of (not all) MW owners are on their first experience with a converter, so even the SOTP reports reflect the amazement that accompanies someone's first experience with a converter.
4) Price is a short-sighted way to buy the converter. If you give up .1 or .2 compared to a comparable Yank or Vig, you'll end up having to spend the money on some other mod to get the same performance level. Additionally you have limited the potential of your car as you continue to add mods as time goes on.
I'm not saying MW is good or bad. I know one guy who ran very well on a MW. There is a lot of band-wagoning right now for MW on LS1.com and not a lot of experience, especially longer term experience.
