Default Gear install

Does anybody have a link to detailed instructions for a gear swap? I've got the gears and bearing kit, etc..., but no shop around here wants to stand behind the install if I'm providing the gears. If they're not going to guarantee they do the work correctly, I don't see much point in paying 350 bucks for them to do it for me.

Nah. I appreciate having multiple sets of directions. You sometimes see two different mechanics' perspectives on the same problem.

I'm not entirely sure I have the dial-indicator/backlash thing pictured correctly in my head, but other than that, It sounds more time-consuming than hard.

I was confused when I got my install kit because there was no mention of what the little tube contained, or what was in the little tub with the paintbrush. I see now that it's loctite and marking compound.

Oh, one more question.

The install kit came with 3 different sizes of bearings. One size had two of the same size for a total of 4 bearings in all. I assume that one is the bearing that goes on the pinion shaft, the pair of equally sized ones go on either end of the carrier. What is the fourth bearing? It's larger than the carrier bearings. Is this the one that's in the housing near the yolk end of the pinion? I never knew there was even a bearing there until I saw brief mention of it in one of those write-ups.
