If I change from a 2.73 to a 3.42 rear, do I need to adjust shift points?
I've been thinking about getting a 12-bolt 3.42 rear to replace my 2.73 stocker. However, I don't have a lot of money right now to spend on a laptop and Autotap/LS1-Edit.
SLP sells a module that will plug into your PCM and reprogram the speedo. Now if I go from 2.73 to 3.42, is that enough? Or will I also have to make adjustments to the shift points (i.e. the MPH at which to shift and such)?
Thanks
Mark
