Default jasper trannys?

well i just got back from the shop and the guy i went to suggested i get a jasper transmission. its around $1700 just for the tranny. it comes with a 3 year 75,000 mile warranty. anyone know anything about these trannnies? the guy i talked to seemed very honest and seemed to like their product a lot.

I'm pretty sure that it would be a waste of time as they are remanufactured to stock specifications.

their motors arent that bad, but a "stock" tranny isnt anything like a "stock" motor in these cars...

well i was planning on get a tc eventually so i was looking at the performabuilt tranny. for their level 1 with a 3500 stall its $1900. my car is mostly a dd and doesnt really see the track. would this be a better choice as far as transmissions are concerned?

Jasper is ok if your just looking for and OEM replacement for normal drivng with a long warranty, They have no heavy duty or upgraded parts. And HI Performance use is not warranted. For instance broken planets sun shells etc would be considered abuse.
