i have a problem i just had my trans replace about a month ago because i lost 2nd gear its an a4 in a 99 t/a. the problem is after it was replace the car jumps forward when i go to start it in the mornings or after its been sitting for more than 4 hours. the trans thats in it is an a4 out of a t/a with around 86,000 miles(warrenty company choose it), any idea what the proble could be? oh and the trans was put in at a pontiac dealership.

 

if you talking about a slight jump forward when you start its probably just drag hydraulic etc , its not and issue

 

it didnt happen with my other trans though and it jumps about a foot

 

I have seen some do it some not . But I have never known it to cause a problem

 

my worry is that im gonna park somewhere and when i start it im gonna hit something

 

park will make sure that does not happen
