Default Picking the right converter

I have a 99 ws6 ram air and want to improve my 1/4 mile times. I have an a4 with a lid and catback and ran a 13.5 at 103 mph with a 2.1 60'. That run was with street tires. I need a stall I can still use everyday on the roads and still be a good track performer. Can someone guide me in the right direction before I make a mistake? I heard a 3600 stall would be good and anything less I would wish I went bigger. ALso, let me know where I could get a converter for a good price and not the 1,000 converters i see somewhere. thanks for the help!!!!

You have heard correctly. I run a 3500 2.5str stall daily and it works great on the street and at the track. My times and mods are in my sig. My car sees 38 miles a day just to and from work.
