Default ATI Converters?

Anyone have any experience with ATI? I ordered an 8" converter the other day for my new TH400. They said the stall should be right around 3800-4000. I am brand new to the auto world. So any feedback would be great.

Same converter I'm running in mine and love it. I went with the nitrous and blown series converter but havent sprayed it yet at the track. A buddy of mine ran a 6.60 at 97mph (1/8 mile)with 100 shot also with this same TC.

I actually not sure what one I'm getting. lol I just called them, gave them all the specs on my car (motor, trans, gears, tire size, exhaust mani size, intake size, cam, n2o, etc) and thats the converter they told me would work the best. I paid $895 for it. They said it will work good on motor and nitrous, and they use it on cars running upwards of 800rwhp. Like I said, its an 8" with about a 3800-4000 rpm stall. I guess the 8" is more of a race set-up then something like a 10"...but I'm not sure why. Maybe someone can fill me in.

They make a quality product...I work near their shop and have been to a few track rentals with them...Their durability testing at the rentals are very impressive...Testing different kinds of trans/converter combos, etc..I have not personally owned their stuff, but I've seen their stuff in action...

You will love it.
Mine's a 4500, I don't do nitrous, that's the reason why yours is a little tighter setup. I have never had a converter like the ATI, I had Yank's and PI but the ATI so far is the best one yet. The 8" is what's in mine. I'm also running there PowerGlide transmission as well.

Carl Rossler is building me a RMVB T-braked TH400. I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with the set-up...I just need to learn how to drive an auto. lol

i believe that's the same converter that jugger and magnus were running when the two of them tied the Cam-only record at 10.295 w/ low 1.3x 60' times.

ATI 5500 8"

they now offer 10" converters for 4l60e lt-1/ls1 cars.

I just bought one for the Camaro, it ran 11.02@122.6 on a 1.55, and I think this 5500 stall will wake it up on motor.

I have a 10 inch ATI treemaster MRT for my RMVB T/Brake TH400 sitting out in my garage waiting to get put in, Ive heard nothing but good things about them thats why I ordered from them, I actually got a cheaper deal from a local dealer for ATI that i could direct from them, I just filled out a 2 sheet paper with all my cars specs and thats what they told me to put in there.
