So what exactly is it doing now I know before you said it shifted 1-2. But not to 3rd, Then I had you unhook the harness which should have made third gear all the time. Which is what I assumed you were doing again when you said your sure its second , Please describle exactly what its doing when you drive it right now?

1-2 is fine.

Plugged in 3000rpm=47mph

Unplugged 3000rpm=47mph

You are more than welcome to come drive it. I'm sick of messing with it.

Frank, One of the connections on the valvebody doesn't match the wiring in the trans. What now?

OK, The problem was the lockup solenoid. So with Franks instruction I pulled the old one of of the valvebody. Everything is installed now.

To my surprise it shifts now! Thanks Frank!

I should clarify. Apparently the trans wasn't shifting because of something in the VB. But, the harness didn't match because there are two different lockup solenoids.

Thanks again Frank!

Super and yes the PCS was a later model than your harness, No biggie. Glad its works good again now. If you would please place the valve body back in the bag and in box. I want to have it picked up and brought back forstudy to see why it did that and if theres anything we can do or change to avoid it in the future,
OH EMPTY YOUR PM BOX ITS FULL

I'll box it up today.

I put the cheapest fluid I could in it while I was doing this. But I want to go back with the best. What do you recommend?

well cooler I dont think so , Slicker it shouldnt be if it meets dexron/mercron standards , The only real advantage is have seen is it has a higher temp for thermal break down in other words its can get hotter before it turns brown
