Default Fastest times on a 4L60E

Building a new engine and wondering how fast guys are running on theres, I debating on sticking with the 4L60E or going with the 4L80E. I will be making near 550 at the wheels and a 200 shot on top of that. Also for anyone running sub 10 second times, who built your trans, whats done to it, and how long is the life expectancy?

Thanks,
Nick

I know a few members here have gone into the high 9's on a built 4L60E. Cablebandit did it on a rock-on 4L60E. But soon there after he switched to a 4L80E. If you were just gonna be NA at 500-600 rwhp then I'd say go with Rossler, FLT or Performabuilts max level 4L60E.

But with a 200 shot on top of that I would go 4L80E or TH400.

with that kind of power i'd go 4l80, but you're going to pay more up front.

Here's a link to a good thread on this topic from the 10 second club section.

Regardless of the success of a few, most seem to have bad luck when running any faster then mid 10's. Just my observation.
