Default Which shift kit

Which shift kit are people using, i need to put one in myself and not sure which one to get. Need hard shifts and be able to do it with the tranny in the car.

For sure the Transgo. It comes in 2 flavors, the HD2 (cheaper) does not come with the video. Either way, the instructions are dated and not completely accurate. But the best bang for the buck, IMHO. Be sure and make the valve body mods, which make the shifts firm but smooth. Other members may be able to provide more info on this mod.

+1 for the Transgo. If you don't do it yourself, make sure you get a good shop that reads the ******* instructions. I had a guy do my 4L60 and he put a checkball in the wrong location - overspun the motor because it downshifted when it should have upshifted - valve float, etc. I had to pull it again and bring it back to him, he never paid for new valve springs or my labor. If I had paid by credit card I would have gone for a partial chargeback.
