What has to be done to install a th-400,in a 02 trans am??

The search option is your friend.

Seriously though I am starting my swap this weekend T-56 to a TH-400, after I'm finished I will post all the parts I used to do the job.

FYI so far I'm out 1,900.00....I still need a driveshaft and a few small parts to finish.

Here's a quick list off the top of my head: Tranny, converter, shifter, cross member, tunnell mounted torque arm, driveshaft, dipstick, cooler & lines. There's a little bit of wiring depending on what tranny you have now. All in all it's not that bad.
