Drive Train loss I am goin to have a Yank SS 3600 Stall with Lockup, and a fully built 4L60E behind it. That is going into the 10-bolt for the Dyno numbers.
What do you guys think is the Drive Train loss.. about 20%..

Drive train loss is not a flat number nor a percentage...It's both (with an unlocked converter). There is a flat frictional loss (rear, tranny and driveline) and converter loss percentage to deal with... With 5% loss thru the converter (above 6500 rpm)...I'd say 25-30RWHP between locked and unlocked. And add 100 or so (unlocked) to get flywheel horse power. If you had a 12 bolt or 9 inch in their, then I would say add 115 hp to get flywheel horse power...
Several years ago one of the guys over at CZ28 dynoed his engine on a stand and after on a dynojet....He made (some where in the 500rwhp or so SAE on dynojet). So, he figured 18 percent loss (turbo 400, 12 bolt or 9inch can't remember and slicks) to get back to his engine only dyno numbers.
