Default Something odd (TCC issue?)

Well I noticed recently that for some reason when Im cruising around town the rev's are around 2000rpm (which is high for a stock 3.23's a4) and then when I open HPTuners and check for codes, if there are none current, and then I clear them anyway, my rpm's drop almost 500rpm's down to 1500rpm area.

I assume this is TCC related, but I dont understand why this happens?

It'll then decide to pop back up to the 2000rpm range in a minute or two, I hit clear codes again, and instantly it drop's the 500rpms again.

Anyone know what is causing this?

oh, I have a TCI ssf3500 if this helps

In the discussion you say you have a TCI converter... but in your sig you have Yank's name...... was there a recent swap? Or any other combination change?

Sounds like lockup being disabled due to engine missfire, This may not set any codes, But I have noted that if you erase the codes that are not there it will cause the afect your speaking of. Maybe try raising the missfire tables
