Default Wanting to rebuild 4l60... what all is needed

I've got an automatic transmissions/transaxles class that I am taking this summer towards my degree in automotive. We are going through two transmissions(one of which being the 4l60e) in discussion and then we can either go through the tranny's that they have there or we can work on our own. Well I've been thinking about doing a torque converter for a while but wanted a built tranny first just to do things the safer way.

I figure this is the perfect opportunity to build up the tranny and save a ton of money doing all of the labor myself. What I need to know is do any sponsors offer a rebuild kit based on the amount of power you expect to be pushing? I've looked at CK Performance and they offer a kit that should handle 750hp that runs about $250. Would this be worth while? Or should I look elsewhere? Also, what other things should I be concerned with? Thanks guys

I prefer the trango kit , for that much horsepower you should go with the 46-mod conversion they offer also . This will take the pressure control away from the computer . it's a fairly simple instalation . Go with the big end on the shift feed holes . Note the part were you can go bigger with a high stall converter !Sonnax makes a valve that eliinates the 3rd accumulator out of the circuit . This helps the 3-4 clutches a lot . Have fun with it and good luck . John
