Default Is something wrong?

Hey guys,

I just recently got a Yank 3400 installed in my car. I took it to the track tonight to see how it would do. It feels great on the street, but on the track tonight it wasn't so great. I cut the 12.97@104.05 with a 1.80 60' on a cool night with a DA of -1500. (2400 stall) Tonight, I ran a 13.001@104.18 with a 1.87 60', and a 13.006@104.48 with a 1.86 60'. The DA was around 1100 tonight, but I didn't think it would affect my 60' that bad. I was dead hooking, and on the first run (13.001) I launched from 2700, and the 2nd run I launched from 1500. It also seemed like it was flashing to only 3000. Wtf. The thing that gets me is that my mph in the 1/8 and 1/4 was higher tonight than the 12.97 run, but my 60's were lower with the 2400 stall. That's why I don't think it was the air. Maybe? I don't know. I was hoping on cutting some 1.7Xs. Damn. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm pretty bummed right now.

Try leaving off idle and flashing it harder, you know what I mean? Thats how I got the best results with my old SSF 3500.

Ok thanks I'll try that I still don't think it should be a 1/10th off though

There are situations where a higher stall may not nessesarily give you a better time , It depends on your torque curve , Example being I remember several of my freinds with buick GN in the 80s locking the converter and they got better times ?
