Problem with 4L60E build

Problem with 4L60E build I have a Express van with a 4L60E in it. I rebuilt the transmission, then went through the Rocky Mountains. It generated the slipping code just after that. I made it home, and lost second gear less than 15 miles later.
I got the DVD from Technical Video, and noticed it mentions checking for binding of the 2-4 band by rotating the output shaft both directions. I couldn't rotate but one direction, even without the 2-4 band. I had my son double check both sprags for proper operation, and had him look over my shoulder while I built it all back up. I still can turn the output only one direction. This is the same as the first rebuild.
Do I have a problem, or is the video mistaken or leaving something out?

If you cannot turn it in both directions you have something assembled wrong. Take it back apart and caefully check everything sprags etc

Are you trying to yurn it by hand or with channelocks or pliars . You may only be able to turn it one way by hand , the other way you are turning the entire geartrain and there will be a lot more resistance !!!!

Since the video showed turning the shaft with one hand, I thought that is the kind of resistance I would meet also. I was turning it by hand. I could twist enough to lift the transmission off the table, but it felt like it was locked up solid. I'll try the pliers tonight.
If you were able to twist it hard enough to pick it up off the table and it didnt turn there is definatly something wrong in there.

Well ,I tried a set of water pump pliers on the splines. I think the pliers are around 2 feet long. It turned both ways fairly easily. It's amazing what a little leverage can do. 
I'll stick it in the van tomorrow and let you know how it goes.
