Default Didnt shift outta 2

Well I seafoamed my car and was taking her out. Got into the moment and was at a light put it into "2" and romped it. Now usually I just drive around in D rarely use "2". So about 80-90 the car felt like it needed to shift stupid ole me I remember I started in 2 I quickly let off the gas and shifted into D. I didnt hear any noises or anything could this have, or can it do any damage?

Sorry but it was my stupid moment of the day I think some of those seafoam fumes got into my brain.

You should be fine, check the fluid and run it!

when manual shiftin more components are applied and it also raises the line pressure a little more so it will not hurt it but the the PCM has the best shft strategy so leave it in drive or 3rd if you still want the components applied and the higher line pressure

Heres some information from our performabuilt FAQ page on manual shifts and effect copied and pasted from http://performabuiltautomatics.com/hauler/FAQ.html

3-Manual shifting of transmission. Contrary to popular thought, doing this occasionally will not hurt your unit. In fact, there are some instances where it can be beneficial. For example, when roll racing, bringing on the low clutch by manually putting the transmission into first helps support the low and input sprags. Another example would be burn outs, as again it will help to support the sprags by turning on the low clutch and the overrun clutch. Placing the transmission in D3 rather than the OD position is always a good idea when using nitrous or turbo/supercharger applications. Although we use the strongest sprag available, the BorgWarner dual cage input sprag, it is still the weakest link in the transmission. so the overrun clutch being on to help support it is a good idea.
