Default Has anyone here reprogrammed there stock stall converter to a higher idle?

How high can you go? I'm at 650 and having idle problems with a new cam

I think the idle is set through tuning the PCM, has nothing to do with the stall converter, right guys? On most cam upgrades you will be increasing the idle a bit , mainly to smooth out the idle.

I would guess that above 800 rpm, you'll be fighting the stock converter at red lights.

Idle speed is controlled through the PCM.
