PERFORMA BUILT tranny level 2 running 10s
Good luck on that lower pass. We will be watching, How do you think the converter performs NOS verse NON characteristics and feel. We have alot of people ask about our converters on NOS and I havent had any experince with them personally other than natural?

Sorry to see the
Nice car, always cool to see hot rods on hard passes !!! Congrats on a cool car!
Uhhhh not to defend nor slam anyone here, but I have been watching this thread for a while and as a business owner thought it was kinda odd that the converter question was asked in the manner it was... never heard that question before from a person who builds and sells converters... just haven't...
But if I were to release a product, and I have, I would have done my homework, for a real damn long time in alot of real combinations and in alot of different cars... bottom line is I would know what my product did in the real world because I would be in the real world in real world automobiles on N2O, superchargers, blowers, turbos, alcohol etc.... bottom line is I would know and do know what to expect out of my products, day in and day out. And of the products I do have, I do know what to expect day in and day out. That is the reason we race cars, work with guys in our area that have high expectations and have powerful cars and have an ongoing developmental program.
That is why we tailor our builds to each combination and do not paint with a wide brush and a broad stroke when deciding what parts go into a given build. That's why we do not have major assemblies on shelves waiting to go into a transmission... but here we aren't trying to be the biggest either. Just trying to be considered one of the best. We figure if we can sell some transmissions to the most discerning of customers then we have accomplished our goals.
A dyno is not a tool that is used to judge power level capabilities in the transmission industry. It is used to determine reliability. The reason Vince uses it in his Sig. is he has a very, very low return, dissatisfied customer list. You could say the dyno gives him confidence.
I'm curious, what makes you think they have not, are not and would not do that on a regular basis? Who would not test their products in cars often? I do.
What is so hard to believe about that?
It just seems too campy for a thread to keep floating to the top once in the morning and once in the evening, just an observation. Advertizing is important to business................. but not near as important as research and development in my opinion.

Lets see you swapping out converters in your test vehicles for customers that plan on spraying them.
What is so hard to believe about that?

oh man you guys are taking this way too different levels. obviously thier product is working however they tested it maybe it is just from experience that they get the product right without having to go through extensive testing ever think of that.
It was not a point of testing the converter before it would be shipped. The question was, have they been tested in this application with nitrous. Frank made his reply that they have.
For those that want to rip on the fact that we own a Dyno well I guess you do not understand the relevance of it. It is a quality control tool that assures us that when you install your transmission it does function. The real test is ultimately the car, but if you had to pull a new trans back out multiple times because it did not even have all the gears or lockup, you would understand my point.

It didnt start out that way , I think in the begining the idea was to let people know what you offered that your competion didnt. But with each move there there had to be a best of response. But personally I dont like the whole cut down one on another and I dont do it, I dont post in threads about other peoples products and I never say anything derogatory about any sponsor here. In a public or private forums. I prefer to stay with the tech the bikering is a complete waste of everyones time and serves no usefull purpose. I actually will in many cases intentionally avoid a thread if it looks like there may be conflict because I do not enjoy it at all. I preferr handling things in a professional manor at all times and well being nice which I always am. To me its ashamed anytime a thread that has technical merit or allows people to get first hand thoughts from a customer get turned into what this one has. Now someone looking to learn and get infomation. has to jumble through all this stuff.
In fact I am going to remove all the non techincal post I have made in this thread , Perhaps the other sponsors will do the same. DONE!

hey Im jusy happy to find a A4 TRANNY that holds up and someone that stands beheind there product. As stated above the inhouse testing of the transmissions is good for the average tranny but true testing is done at the track with serious power. Last year I had a local tranny shop build me a A4 I had the tranny in and out 5 times in 6 months they kept telling me it was my stall or I wasnt putting the tranny in sqaure when I talked to frank on the phone and told me what he thought my old tranny was doing.thats what made me decide to buy a performa built plus warranty. My best friend has a FLT great tranny he has had a 10.7 run with there stage 2 tranny. Im just glad you guys like the video and hopefully I can get more posted and give you the progress of my car. I think it very cool to have this forum to give customer feedback or neg. feedback so others will learn from out mistakes just like mine going to a local tranny shop I learned a expensive leason.

Congrats on running low 10's with a 4L60E, I remember when it was real hit or miss with rebuilt '60E's. My old FLP/FLT 4L60E ran 11.dohs for a couple of years with nary a hiccup.
