Default Is my tranny going bad

I have an 02 T/A with 4l60E that shifts fine from a dead stop accelerating through all four gears without any issues, when I put on my brakes and slow down and then hit the accelerator my tranny feels like it slips and then catches, it's really bad if I get on the throttle. It does it in first gear and also in second gear. It's when I decelerate and then apply throttle.

Any info will be appreciated, do you think my tranny is going out? I have 35,000 miles on the car. I raced it for two seasons and then stopped. I noticed this problem last year in first gear and now seems to be getting worse. It works OK if I baby it and never get on it.

Thanks, Eddie

No problem going WOT from a dead stop.

The tranny fluid looks pretty good to me however I'm not sure what to look for.

Sounds like you may have a control issue that or the input sprag is letting loose on the down shift
