Default Need some help... converter won't lock

Well to start, coming home from the track last Friday night I noticed my converter was not wanting to lock at all and then it throws a SES light. So I get home check the fluid and all looks good. Take the car for a spin the next morning and the SES light is still on and same thing, the converter will not lock. I give a call to my tuner to see if we can hook up and check the code and make a stop while I'm out. Get back in the car and the light is out and the converter is locking fine. Drive around a bit more and it locks sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. Took the car this evening and the same thing. Any ideas what this could be a symptom of? All has been fine with the converter up until last Friday night, even since the h/c went in which was about 2 months ago. Thanks

thanks for the reply. I am pretty sure my tuner deleted the misfire codes when we were tuning the car on the street after the h/c swap. I will get it scanned. I did not know I could still retreive the code after the SES light went out. Thanks alot
