SPEC III Ceramic installed - first impressions...
) after reading some postings on here - maybe it's the 3.73's I have in helping out there. But then a buddy with a '02 and stock gears just recently had the exact same clutch installed and he's not getting any either. Dunno 'bout that whole chatter thing now, just glad I'm not getting any *L*. The engagement point is about 1/3 of the way off the floor - a little lower than I was used to but no big deal.Since mine is a '98 I had new '02 hydraulics (MC and Slave) put in there and I did the drill mod to the line from the MC. I also spent about 2 hours bench bleeding (using Buschman's pressure method) that MC after doing the drill mod, so that's probably helping too.
All in all, I'm VERY pleased with this SPEC III ceramic so far - I honestly cannot see how anyone (at least as long as you're not getting any chatter *L*) could not think this setup is anything but completely streetable! Our local track reopens in about a month's time, and that will be the real test then I guess!
Now just keeping out of the gas for those 500 break in miles *L*...
