will the 4l60e from a 98 camaro bolt up to my 93 lt1

no it will not though the bell will bolt to the engine the converter etc are completely diferrent you would be better off to just get a trans that was made for your car. Beyond that the 93 had a 700r4 sometimes called a 4l60 not a 4l60e so your car has no electronics to run the transmission.

damn im so lost. i was gonna use my stock converter with this trans. so wat ur saying is thieres no way in hell this transmission will work. what trans does my 93 formula have? what do i need to look for

Its referred to as a 4l60 but its just a mildly updated 7004, If you want to continue to use the lockup control as it is you would need a 93 but retroing and earler 700R4 into the car is not and issue either . Bascially your looking for and 87 to 93 700r4
