Now if I have to rev to 2500 to get going ... $hit - I might just flush the radiator/change the oil instead.

Darn decisions.
You won't loose any torque over the stock converter at all. it will be the opposite as far as torque goes. the car will drive like a normal car It will just want to rev more when accelerating. its NOT going to sit in one place and only move at 2500 rpm like a clutch dump or anything like that. it will just rev up to a certain RPM and kind of hang there. I'll upload A really short video of my car and get another of more street driving during the day tomorow.. its nothing like any of you guys think.

Here is the Cruising video Its short just coming around a turn and accelerating. I was not constant on the throttle. you can also see in this vid the lockup point when the RPM's dropped to 1500.

While I'm at it.. Here is another video getting on it from a slow roll. this was on street tires rolling onto the throttle. I can't stomp on the throttle at anything below 20mph because it will just light up the tires hard. Time for LT headers for sure!

John, thanks for posting the videos - this gives a good idea. What I meant by 'low RPM torque' is that the LS1 engine at low RPMs delivers plenty of torque for decent acceleration from light to light.

I will install my Fuddle, just not today yet. I want to be 100% positive my shift kit install went in successfully. I'd hate to blame the converter for a stupid check ball misalignment.

Hey John, what tires are you running with that? They seemed to stick decently well for a street tires and a big converter like that. Right now I have the stock F1's on my car and they don't stick that well with my car anywhere in first and i don't have a stall in mine even yet...

F1's are not known for doing much in the straight line. .My buddy had them on his SS and hated them except for the days when it was brutally hot out and they did better.

I'm running some Dunlop SP8000's 255/50's on stock 16" rims. I have to be careful and roll into the throttle to keep it under control but usually it doesn't launch that good on the street on street tires but in that video I was on this weird grooved concrete surface that comes off a bridge that is really grippy but changes back to slicker pavement. I got an even better launch in another Vid (right Here) but I hit the change to the other pavement at the top of first and spun pretty good. Plus the few suspension mods I have and no front sway bar in that vid too probably help the launch.

All these vids are on my street tune that I made to be a bit more soft on teh street with a little richer safer WOT fueling.
