Shift points & rev limiter question?
Where do most of you bolt on guys have your shift points and rev limiter set at? I have my shift points set at +2 on the 1st to 2nd and 0 on the 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th and have my rev limiter set at 6300. I'm just trying to figure out if it would be worth the trouble to play with it at the track tomorrow night or if I am about where most of you guys are running?
Jay, for shift points, each car is a little different depending on the mods.
Rev limiter.. I put mine at 6600 when I got my HPP.. and it's been there ever since.

Jay, I have '02 SS, 345hp lid w/dual-dual, ASP pulley, FTRA, stock converter, 3.23's, HPP3, Convo-Pro 15's F&R w/ skinnies & 26-8.5 ET Drags, boxed lca's, rt. side airbag. Shiftpoints: 1-2=+2, 2-3=stock. Both shift at 6000. Firmness= +50%. 1800 mi. on clock. Consistent low 12.80's, (12.82 best), 108.25 mph, 1.92 sixty. BTW, moved rev-limiter to 6400. It's away for the winter. Converter (SS3800), Borla Y-pipe, smooth bellows coming next. I want 12.0's with this setup. Best wishes. WJ.
