Default Built A4, stock stall shift experience...

well im not a tranny genius by any stretch, but i have been having an issue with my 3-4 shift

my tranny was recently built and has been holding up very well at the time of the build i just decided to with a stock stall because of several reasons.

the issue i was having was from a roll if i dropped the gear from 4-3 and then let it get back to rpm, it would not shift at WOT.....it would just bang off the limiter....limiter was set at 6500 with mandatory shift point and speed at 6300 and 125 respectively....i have 373 gears, so it gets up there pretty kick...me and my tuner (doc)...took it out and did some software changes, changed shift point to 6200 and 120....tranny finally shifted real smooth at 6100 rpms and 125 in 3rd gear....

we deduced that the stock stall is whats really holding the tranny back and not letting it shift....the car will go directly through the gear if i flash it from a dead stop, the issue was only from a high speed roll

ive just been seeing alot of issues with built trannys and stock stalls....with shift problems...so i hope this gives some insight to people

I am not real clear you are speaking of the 3-4 shift manually from 3rd only ?

on the highway, if i punched it to WOT throttle it would down shift....however it would never shift back up when it reached the asigned limit unless i feathered the throttle
